Default Low Pressure Leaks - Kitchen Sink Faucet

Kitchen sink faucets with high spouts can leak slowly around the faucet stems, faucet and spout flanges and especially the spout swivel joint due to the low pressure head of water trapped in the spout after the faucet valves are closed.
What are the best kind of sealants to use between the sink top and the faucet and spout flanges? Valve stems and spout swivel joints are another leakage problem. Any advice there?
    Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Low Pressure Leaks - Kitchen Sink Faucet

You can replace the o-rings in the faucet and I personally use caulking under the trim plate of a deck mounted faucet and let sit for 24 hours before using to ensure a good seal. And with the o-rings make sure you use faucet grease on them to prolong there life
