Yup, in someone elses car and not paying for gas.

We are meeting at the I-25 and Lincoln Park and Ride later and driving down to Colorado Springs to hike Pancake Rocks later this morning if anyone wants to go. The Fall color should be awesome.

Sounds like a good time .... instead I'm going to chase a little white ball and hunt for it among the fallen leaves.

Btw .... it cost me $0.004 in electricity to make my pot of coffee this morning.

I'm surprised " they " are not out in front of your house with pitchforks and torches . Such a waste of resources ...

I just have the wife peddle a bicycle generator for the kitchen appliances and the puter. Saves on the gym membership and the gas to drive down there. Plus... it keeps her in shape all winter, so come spring... she can pull the plow thru the garden plot.

We be a really "green" household.

Geez ... hang my head in shame .... you're right how selfish of me ..... dang .... I should have jumped into the vehicle to the favorite drive through waiting in line while the engine idles .... I could have saved all that electricity.

    back to topic...

I have few questions about KVAR unit.

They "claim" it will reduce kilowatt energy...blah..blah..
    Am I correct?

    Do the appliances slow down?

Reducing energy does means something is slowing down or turned off...right or wrong...?

    anybody read this below...

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the Duct Tape.

    No

    No

    No

The concept is to bring the power factor as close to the value of 1 .... where the typical power factor in the average home is 0.75 in things like motors.

It doesn't have any effect on things like incandescant lights , your stove , electric water heater , TV , stereo , etc.
