    Default "Singing" return air grill

Hey guys, I have a 14 x 20 return air grill in the ceiling of my second floor which "sings" quite loudly when the blower is running medium or high. Any way to silence it? Or has anyone seen one that is more rigid than the Hart & Cooley? Thanks in advance...

Sounds to me like there is too much air trying to go through too small of a space. You might want to consider upgrading the size of the return if possible...maybe to a 20x20. Not an easy fix, but should solve the problem.

Could be too much air as indicated earlier, but could also be addressed with another type of RA grille that is less-retrictive. I would have some one take a look at it (professional) and make recommendations. It would be a shame to start some type of trial and error method to correct the issue only to discover there were issues totally unrelated to the grille. "Measure twice - cut once"
