    Default Removing old carpeting

I am in the process of removing carpet from a concrete floor in the basement. Every inch of the carpeting has been glued down. When I remove the carpeting the backing is stuck to the concrete. I am looking for ideas on how to get the backing off. I have not decided what I will put down or if I will paint.

    Thanks,

    llegatt

A good razor sc****r will help. There are some glue removers on the market that will disolve the glue but you might need a respiraror to use them. Some people use heat guns in conjunction with a sc****r. What ever you do it will be hard work.

Thanks, I will try that. I was hoping there was a less laborous way. But it never seems to work out that way.
