Question Just pulled up the carpet and...

...there is a lovely hardwood floor underneath. Problem is, the carpet padding left a bluish raised pattern on the wood. Short of refinishing (wish I can't afford right now) is there anything I can use to dissolve this pattern without damaging the wood? The floor itself is in terrific shape.

Another thing you might try in an inconspicuous area is Go-jo hand cleaner and fine steel wool. The Go-jo will remove many stains from wood. Don't know if it will work on your stain or not, but I have used this method on a lot of things to avoid having to refinish and it works pretty good. Just my 2 cents worth.
