    Default Removing paint from fireplace

We recently purchased a home that has what appears to be a natural stone fireplace in the master bedroom. I say appears to be because it has been painted over in gloss white paint. I would like to remove the paint if possible. If not possible I would like to repaint it in a more natural look. Any suggestions?

I don't envy you. A good paint stripper and wire brushes. Stone is porous so it will probably be a bear to get it completely clean. You may have to follow up with an acid wash.
