    Default coping crown

    just wondering if anybody had a good trick for coping one crown profile to a different profile? thanks in advance

    I'm not sure I understand what you mean, coping it to a new profile.

    Are you butting one piece to a different piece with a different profile?

    if so just tracing the new profile on the end of a stick would really be the best trick.

    Place the piece to be coped on the wall a slide over to the other piece, then use a compass Place the pencil end on the piece to be coped and the other end on the other piece. Hold the compass level and follow the contour of the molding and transfer that to the piece to be coped.
