    Default Alligator paint

Hello: I have a 1924 house with plaster walls and the paint that has been applied to the walls is alligatoring. How can I repair or cover this defect? Thanks for your help!

    Woody,

Assuming that the alligatoring is still tight to the wall, the simplest way is to skim coat dry wall compound over the whole area, then sand and prime with a good primer. I would not use drywall primer, but a good 100% acrylic undercoater/primer.
It the alligatored cracks are deep, you will probably need a couple coats of the drywall compound.
