Default problem with concrete in basement

I am getting a white foam on surface of concrete floor near outside wall going out to newly installed patio. Have I created a moisture problem? How should I repair it?

My house is 14 years old and I never saw this problem on the concrete floor until after the patio was installed 3 years ago.

The house is in Massachusetts. Thanks for the help.

Can you explain more about this white foam? How long have you noticed it? DO you notice any other signs of moisture?

Sounds like it may be efflorescence. ( do a google search )
If this started after the patio installation sounds like that's the cause.

Hard to say what's happening but I would guess the patio might be directing water toward the floor. There seems to be a change in drainage around that area allowing water to be forced into the floor from underneath pushing the chemicals up forming the efflorescence.

    Just a thought.

I think that i created a moisture problem and have to put in some type of drainage and waterproof the concrete wall in the spring.
