    Smile primitive painting

I recently read that if you want the primitive look add flour to your paint. This will give you the look of having mulitiple layers of paint and the aged look. Has anyone ever used this technique or know of any other that would give me the look I want.

I would have some doubts about putting an organic product such as flour in a wall paint, especially if it is in a humid environment. Although most good paints have mildecides in them, you are giving mildew a nice source of food. I well remember the days of out-fashioned wheat paste under wallpaper and how often I would find mildew there.
