    Default Thermal Zone GU060M12S

Looking for information on Thermal Zone gas furnace. Front panel missing & no codes to diagnose problem. Have 3 blinks & have replaced pressure switch. Got 4 blinks but have gotten heater to work. Will shut off during the early morning & not come back on. Check all switches & hoses, cycles 3 times & will come on & run untill it shuts off at night. Also missing trap for inducer motor.

    1. How long does it run before it shuts down?

    2. Will it restart the next morning?

    3. Does it do this consistently?

Is it in the Basement or the attic? If it's it the attic and you turn the stat down before going to bed the c-sate line could be freezing and not able to drain because of the extended time it's off. This will flood the inducer motor and shut the unit down. If your not the original owner this may be why the P-Trap that's sometimes on the side of the furnace was taken off, it may have been freezing up. Then in the Morning it gets a little warmer and thaws out. You could get some 120v heating cable and zip tie it to the c-sate line. Let us know how your making out. Good Luck!!!

The furnace is horozontally mounted in the crawl space. It has no p trap & the drain for it is just a hose that is attached to the drain line venting to the ground. I suspected that it might be freezing up since we have freezing tempureatures for the past week.

If you go the Heating Cable way make sure it's outside cable. Good Luck!!!
