    Default Missing Ground Rod

We had a contractor dig out a basement wall and straighten it. In the process he removed the ground rod along with the copper wire.

We can drive a new one in but are unsure where the best place to attach it to in the house? Where should we connect a new copper wire from the rod to the house system?

To the ground bus in the main panel and it should be continuous, no splices.

In my opinion, the contractor should reinstall the ground wire. But that is just me....

Was the ground wire attached to ground rods or to the rebar in the wall?
