    Unhappy Clogged shower/tub

I've plunged until my arm hurts and used chemical cleaners which partly cleared the drain because you can hear water running, but it's still way too slow (it's a normally slow running drain but this is ridiculous). Tried the methods listed on this site, to no avail. When i removed the overflow plate the tub stopper linkage would not come up and out. Any suggestions before i resign myself to a plumber?

I bought a snake, but because of the way the drain is made, it runs straight across and then down, it would only hit the back of the pipe. It wasn't flexible enough to curve down the pipe.

I am with Gizmo on this one. You have tried everything. Its time to call the plumber. It is a routine type of service call and hopefully it wont cost you too much.
