plaster walls with no insulation and cloth wiring
I have a 1928 stucco home that has the old cloth wiring and no insulation in the walls. I would like to fix both these issues by taking down the walls, rewiring the house, spraying in the foam insulation, and then putting up drywall. I am well known for turning a small project into a very large project so I am seeking some words of wisdom. Am I opening a can of worms that can be done in a more simple fashion or should I take on (or hire someone to take on) the very messy job of pulling out plaster walls and doing both the wiring and insulation at the same time?
Re: plaster walls with no insulation and cloth wiring
See if you can find someone who does foam ins with out having to tear out the walls. A good electrician should be able to rewire with out to much damage to the walls.
