Default Insulating over knob and tube

Safe to do or is this why I pay for insurance?
Also would like to add I have no ridge vents just a peak ventilation system on the roof(forgot what it is called) can I take insulation all the way to roof or not? (edge where roof starts its way up)

I have hung out here for years and have seen the new TOH become a spammer paradise ........ There are a few great posters here to offer suggestions, so be persistent........... I am just a resident retdardant electrician so do not mind my folly.

We behind the the lines just be people.

No it is NOT safe to insulate over K & T wiring. Said wiring is air cooled.

Guess I need an electrician to wire the house before I can attempt to keep the heat in. Any suggestions on someone in ohio area that will do it right. The way other things were done in this house before I took it over I guessing the whole thing will have to be done.

The best thing to do is get 3 or 4 estimates, check their references, the BBB, and Angie's list.
