    Default Farmers Porch Front Step

The front step of my farmers porch sits on dirt/grass.............?
what I would like to do is dig out under it and put in some crushed stone and maybe some 16"x16" concrete slabs, border it with cobblestones or something.....anyway, is there a place with pictures/advice/plans for something like this? Thanks!

What you have there sounds like as good plan to me. 16" blocks with crushed stone or gravel underneath should hold up good. You'll want to put a post mount underneath the post so it doesn't come into contact with the concrete. It will promote rot.
