    Default Non-vented crawlspaces and radon

I recently read that non-vented crawlspaces are best in a non-dry environment. I am building in Northern Idaho near a lake, and this entire area is radon-rich. I plan to make the new construction as radon-resistent as possible with the recommended gravel foundation layer and vent pipe through the roof, but am wondering if a non-vented crawlspace impacts/negates the accumulation of radon since it will be vented out.
