    Default cleaning a dishwasher

    I have a dishwsher that has a film in it I have a watersoftener so it not from the hard water I heard that you can use kool-aid the sugar free stuff but not sure if the still works or not and if so what kind thank you for your time Dave

    I kid you not , an appliance repairman told me to use TANG powder mix in my dishwasher . It worked .

    If Tang works you might use just plain ascorbit acid if you can buy it in a jar (no dyes).

    or just use 2 or 3 cups of vinegar in the wash cycle with your regular detergent. No dishes at that time, and you might have to do that a couple times.

    When I went to the appliance parts house to inquire about something to clean my dishwasher , the guy held up a package of CITRIC ACID . He said , " I could sell you this , or you could buy a jar of TANG . The TANG is cheaper and you can mix up the leftovers for your kids . "
