smell in heating
I Have A Ranch House Built In 1976, It Has Hot Water Heat, Or Baseboard Heat. There Seems To Be A Smell Coming From A Small Section Of Copper Pipe That Joins Two Sections Of The Baseboard. It Is A Big Smell, However It Seems To Come And Go. I Have Talked To Two Different Boiler People They Dont Know. I Have Had A Contractor At My House He Doesnt Know. My Sewer Floor Drains Are On The Other Half Of The Basement, And All My Traps Are Full. The Septic Tank Is Working. Hopefully Someone Knows Something.
Re: smell in heating
These conditions are sometimes caused by some type of small animal that gets itself caught in the wall cavities & dies.
I've seen birds, squirrels, chipmunks, you name it---pulled out of hard to reach wall cavities.
The odor will either get worse, or go away by itself in time.
