Thread: Shower faucet

  1. #1

    Default Shower faucet

The shower faucet is leaking. I'm having a problem removing the seat, which is against the washer. I have the wrench to remove the seat but have been unable to remove it. The shower faucet was installed over 20 years ago, and the seat was never removed.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to remove it. Thanks

The threads in the seat must be rusted. I have a 90 degree seat wrench which gives me a lot more power to unsrew the seat. I spray w-40 inside. That is all. Or, do you want to change the entire faucet?
