Default O Ring in Faucet Causes Stickng

The O ring in the arm of my kitchen faucet makes it difficult to move the arm. What can I use to lubricate the ring without damaging it?

Hopefully you will find it at your big-box, hardware store or local plumbing supply house.

I would recommend silicone grease which is available at most dive shops. Silicone is a very good lubricant for o-rings. Alternatively, you could use a very small amount of vaseline to coat the surface.

you should be able to find some o-ring lubricant at most pool supply stores too.
