Electric radiant heat - problems with tile on netting?
We're considering installing electric radiant heat mats in our bathroom floor. Initially, we had intended to use an octagon-dot tile pattern on the floor, and purchased tiles that are attached to a netted backing.
Someone told us, however, that they've seen problems with this kind of installation. They said the grout is more prone to cracking when radiant heat mats are installed beneath tile on netting. Has anyone else heard of this problem? Are there solutions that allow us to use the same floor tile?
