    Default Joist Radiant Heat

    Hello

I'm going to be installing radiant heat in my living room. The install will be in the joist bays from below. The room below will be heated (radiant). The system is Uponor Wirsbo. Should I use radiant panels or clips to attach the tubing. As far as the labor, either doesn't matter to me. How do I choose?

    Thanks!

    Anthony:

Everything I've read about staple-up radiant heat strongly recommends that the aluminum radiant heat panels be used---Uponor uses the term "Joist Trak panels".

The heat MUST be reflected up by the aluminum to the living space so that it is not wasted or dispersed.

Google the phrase "joist trak panels" for more info.

Good luck with your project, I know that you'll be delighted with radiant heat.
