    Default Soffit chute vents

I plan to add insulation to our attic and I know I need to install chutes so the soffit vents still work properly. Do I need to install them in every space or just where there is a vent? I do not have a continiuous soffit vent.

Lets say I had a continuous soffit vent, I would want a chute at every opening correct? But since I only have staggered vents I only need chutes where those vents are. The other spaces would have insulation pushed tight to the roof sheathing. I just want to make sure I understand the proper method.

More is better. Assuming that you have boxed soffits, install the chutes in every rafter bay. It's not like the cost is going to break you, and you'll benefit from the increased airflow.
