    Post No subfloor

I have no subfloor (or my pine floors were the subfloor which have been finished) should i cover up the pine floors or could i do anything to add a subfloor underneath via a crawlspace?

It's quite common in older houses not to have sub floors. After all back then 1" flooring was a lot thicker, the pieces where a lot longer as a norm. Why do you need to cover them or add sub-flooring?

Well i've discovered that my insulation is past its prime. was going to replace the insulation (rigid board) but before that i just wanted to check if i should need any subfloor maybe for less squeaks and better insulation.
