Water powered sump
I am looking at a water powered back up sump pump. I would like information on how easy or difficult this maybe to install. I can do general plumbing (copper, pvc). Is this something worth doing yourself or have a plumber install.
Re: Water powered sump
Recently had one installed by a professional plumber. He will connect into the main water supply line, with that in mind I think its a good idea to hire a some one that does this for a living. If the connection leaks/fails and you are away you could find your basement flooded. It took him about three hours. My fear of loosing power while being away convinced me to have one installed. Make sure your water pressure is strong enough to work the pump.Good luck!
