    Question Air Lock in water lines to bathroom sink

    Hi we are having problems after shutting water off to replace a new pipe . The water flows good from the bathtub But no flow from the toilet and both taps at the sink. HELP!!

    Bev,

    Try removing/unscrewing the aerator from the sink faucet. If it's full of particles, there's your answer. And if it is......that's likely why the toilet isn't getting any water either; the particles are also clogging the refill mechanism.

    This is a pretty common problem after shuting off the water as particles can/will come loose from the walls of the pipes. Easy solution to that (usually) is to remove aerators from all sink faucets in the house and flush the lines for a couple minutes before replacing them. Saves having to dig those particles out of the aerators and such after the fact.
