    Question Birds

I have some birds that have built what seems to be a birdie apartment complex in my pine tree. By that I mean that there seems to be at least 6-10 birds nesting in the tree. I don't have a problem with that, but as their "landlord" I am unhappy with the poop under the tree. I don't want my dogs eating their poop and getting sick, plus it just looks disgusting.

It is time to evict these birds (I gave them their 90 day notice over the summer). What is the best way to get rid of these nuisance poopers? I've tried removing nests, but they have just moved higher out of the reach of any ladder I own. One of my dogs tries helping by chasing any birds in the lawn back to the tree and barking at them. I kick the tree each time I walk past it to scatter the birds, but they, of course, come right back. What else can I do? Now I know what Sylvester felt like chasing Tweety all those years... Thanks in advance!

    Full size Owl statue.
Some people had good luck and others don't.

It works for me for many years.

Rubber snake perhaps? Maybe the birds won't realize it is too cold for those also.

Do you know what species of bird you are dealing with? (great Northern Pine Poopers, maybe?) This may help to find you a solution.....
