    You can install a register off the heat run in the utility room, which may let the furnace itself provide combustion air to resolve a confined space issue. The size of the duct off the heat run must be sized to conform to NFPA. Another option is to install grills to allow more of the home to communicate with the combustion zone. These must also be sized to conform to NFPA.
