    Default Repair Drywall Paper rips

    Yeah- I was sloppy.

While removing old wallpaper I got a little impatient and overly aggressive. While ripping off the wallpaper, some large and small swaths of drywall paper came off that were still adhering to the old wallpaper, leaving a rough lower belly or indentation on the surface of the drywall. There is still some paper on the drywall, but I intend to paint the walls, and I know it will leave a less than pure flat finish.

Has anyone any ideas the best way to fix this before applying paint?

as long as there is still some paper covering they gypsum you can skim over it with drywall compound, then sand it out when dry
