    Default power vent water heater

Is it acceptable to use a rubber boot to make the connection between the top of the water heater and the pvc vent pipe?

The water heater should come with the right connector and literature to explain the appropriate vent material and footage. As well as appropriate requirements for vent terminations, combustion air, and condensation disposal.
