That's certainly a much cleaner looking set-up than the standard opener. I like how you don't lose any headroom.

Dang, did not even know they were made. Would have been the perfect solution to a situation I ran into a couple years ago.

It was a new town home and a wrapped beam in the garage was so low a conventional opener could not be installed.

A commercial side mount unit was out of the budget price range.

I found a local inventor who modified a standard opener into a side mount unit, which, I installed. But, not all of the bugs were worked out and though it worked okay it required occasional adjustments…………..

    Question:

    Where are the springs?
