    Question, would you rather stand on your head to paint baseboards or have them sitting on saw horses at waist height to do the work? It's easier to paint the walls and baseboards before baseboard installation (no need for wax paper or any masking what-so-ever ). Then, once the base is installed, the nail holes are filled and corners caulked and a little touch-up painting is done. Besides, if the base is painted, then you'll want it caulked to the wall too, which means that the use of waxed paper was all for not because you still have to go back and touch up the caulking where base meets wall.

    Yeh...by the time allz said and done...jus' do it the right way and quit bein' such babies...lol.
    Paint the molding off the wall first...prime and one top coat.
    Then nail the bad boys up...fill the nail holes, lightly sand...caulk top and last cut the sucka..
