    Default Interior walls

My bf's interior walls in his house are not insullated. Is that common?

Yes... if you mean the interior dividing walls.... typically only the perimeter walls are insulated to prevent heat loss/gain from the outside.

I would say so because most of my interior walls aren't insulated. However I don't know if that was a remediation skimp since my house flooded twice in '84 and '87. I haven't lived in a house yet where the interior walls were insulated but they were built between the 20's and 70's.

I think best practices now are to insulate all walls for sound proofing if not for energy efficiency.

what is the easiest way to sound proofing interior walls? Our little ranch house is noisy room to room.
