Default Tongue in Groove Pine on interior walls

Hi there! I hope someone can help me answer a question.

We have installed tongue in groove pine on the walls and ceiling in a log cabin. The owner has informed us that she would like the pine to stay a light (whitish) color. Is there an oil or anything that can be applied to keep it light?

I appreciate your time and advice.

    Thanks!

You might want to look into a white semi-transparent stain.

If you wet the wood with water this will give an indication the color will be with a clear finish coat .
