    Default clogged plumbing

I live in an old house (built 1933). The plumbing ocassionally stops up and a plunger will usually do the job.

Right now - it seems that everything is stopping up or running very slow. I need to unstop both tubs and two of the three toilets.

I do not know what to do. I have tried plunging...do I try drain cleaners. If so what type?

I have six kids and the plumbing takes abuse.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Default Re: clogged plumbing

Old Homes...mine was built in 1918 many times only have one vent stack. Mine got partially clogged with leaves last year and all sinks and toilets had signs of clogging. Where all they really needed was a source of air so they would drain...aka the vent stack. Might suggest you start there.
