If you have a single handle cartridge type faucet it's possible a piece of debris may be clogging the holes or ports inside for the hot water flow.
You may have to take the faucet apart to clean out any debris lodged there.

    Hope this helps.

Before you tear your faucet apart, remove the aerator on the end of the spout and see if it's clogged. Work on a water heater can dislodge a lot of sediment.

Jack ... you're correct ... I misread it to be low hot water pressure from the faucet.

    Unhappy Re: low water pressure

the water pressure is in the hot only. I have good pressure in the cold
I have cleaned screen in the end of faucet and did find lot of junk.problem still exists.
the type of faucet is a pull out with only one handle.
I know this type has a cartridge in it but would it possibly clog up. the faucet is only 3 month old.

Even though the faucet is only 3 months old you mentioned the work was done to the hot water tank a couple of days ago.

If the hot water supply to the faucet is not restricted then possibly the faucet may be clogged.

thanks for the help. I checked the flow through the line into a bucket as was suggested and found very little pressure. remove shut off valve. it was clogged up as was the line to faucet.
It is now working great. thanks for the great advice.
