Default did 1910 homes ever have a toilet in the bedroom?

I am remodeling a 1910 farmhouse, and it appears that someone had built in a newer wall separating a very tiny bathroom (toilet and sink only) from a larger bedroom. Originally, it looks like they were one room. I was wondering if the toilet was separated from the bedroom by a privacy screen. Does anyone know of any reference pictures of this type of bathroom (if there was such a thing?)?

I would guess it more likely that the toilet and sink were added when th wall was built. In this area out houses were still predominately used in rural areas until the early 1950's.
