    Question Grandfather's... wrench?

    We found this in an old tool box. Can't figure it out. I'm hoping it's not a dental tool. Grampa was quite a DIYer, so we never know what he was fixing back then.
    Any clues?

    I'm not sure but these look like something for shoeing a horse. Or what you might find in the old movies where they would throw hot rivets when making a skysc****r.

    It looks like a bard wire or other type of special splicing plier/puller.
    Can't see the pictures very clearly, clicking the thumbnail of the head of the closed pliers and they look like nippers, but the popen picture shows notched jaws and there are wire cutters in the leverage multiplication hindge.

    They appear to be stamped, raqther than forged, so grandpa didn't wsste money on a better tool than he needed to fence the garden or maybe string a wire lattice.
