    Default Refinishing hardwood floor

Having a problem with the polyurethane coating. It gets little bubbles, or pimples, in it. I assume something is being done incorrectly. Any help on what causes this or how to get rid of them? Buffing and recoating hasn't helped. Thanks,

Air bubbles can be caused by mixing or shaking the poly instead of stirring it, using the wrong kind of brush, wet or dirty surface, or bushing the finish on to thick and or brushing to much. Or a cheap brand of poly.

Best bet is to stir the poly and apply it with a foam brush. Rollers and bristle brushes can cause bubbles. Also, try to brush in one direction only.
