    Default HVAC Maintenance!

My HVAC ( heating and cooling) is appx. 6 yrs old. No problems so far...SHOULD I DO SOME KIND OF CLEANING, PARTS REPLACEMENT OR JUST REGULAR CHECK-UP!

WHAT IS THIS PROCEDURE FOR MAINTENANCE!
    thanks,

A yearly service is not a bad idea, particularly if you've got a heat pump. Filters should be changed at least twice a year, more depending on the environmental conditions (dust/dirt levels ). The primary thing that a service will do is check the freon level of the system. Too much or too little and the unit can neither heat nor cool efficiently. There are other checks as well, but since I'm not an HVAC technician, I cannot list them in detail.
