    Default Yellow Hot Water?

    Hi all,
I recently have noticed the hot water in my house has a yellow color to it. In addition there appears to be some sediment in it. Is this just an indication that the water heater needs to be drained or is it indicitave of a bigger problem. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It wouldn't hurt to drain the sediment that accumulates in the tank to see if it clears the situation.

Thanks I am going to drain it down today. I would be surprised if the anode needs to be replaced. The water heater is only two years old but I guess anything is possible.
