Default pvc as duct work for a bathroom vent

has anyone ever used pvc pipe connected to their bathroom vent? I have seen it done before, it seemed like a good idea, but is there a reason why i shouldnt use it in my own home?

Don't see why not it wouldn't rust out but you should still insulate it if in a cold environment. Also if you require 4 inch ducting I'm curious how expensive compared to metal ducting including the fittings.

yes i will definitly insulate as well, and i think it may be a touch more expensive than the metal duct work, but ill let you know. I actually just saw it used on a gas dryer as well, which has got to violate some code, but i bet it seals better too. anyway thanks for the reply have a good holiday
