Default Water Heater Flush T & P valve dripping

I just did a water heater flush. Now I have been filled the tank and the electic heater has been turned back on. The T & P valve continues to drip from the connecting pipe.

I have well water so I know the water I filled the tank with was pretty cold. Is this drip just normal due to the cold water heating and expanding? If not how do I stop the flow?

Possibly some trash under the seal of the T&P valve . Try opening the valve momentarily to see if it will flush out .
Do you have a pressure gauge to measure your incoming water pressure ? If all else fails , replace the valve . They can get weak over time .
