    Default mowing after a frost

Will it harm my lawn to cut it after a frost the night before and/or the night after? I live in western pa. This time of year, it is common to have very mild temps during the day and frost at night.

Default Re: mowing after a frost

I've never seen or heard of damage. I've cut mine after a frost & didn't see any difference. I like to wait until the dampness burns off before mowing. The good news is that the grass stops growing after a few good frosts.
Then it's time to take care of the leaves. For that I mow with a mulching attachment in place to chop up what I can. Again dry leaves chop up better. I set the mower a little higher than my final low grass cut.
