Default Where to buy valves for older taps?

We're trying to fix out leaky taps (1930's era house, likely original taps) as they are quite neat, but we can't find replacement valves anywhere locally. We've tried all the big box stores, plus the specialty plumbing stores, but no avail. Any suggestions where to try next? Are there any ****** sites that might have what we're looking for? I've attached a pic if that helps....

    thanks!

You go to any hardware store and buy faucet washers, thats the round one on the end. Remove the center screw and replace the washer. Also while you are there buy some string packing, Unscrew the packing nut and wrap some string packing around the stem. With the age of the units I would recommend removing and installing new seats.

The valve assembly itself is actually in need of replacement. The brass is so thin it is starting to split. Any sources?

It's called a stem. It would be easier if you knew the manufacturer but you might try
