Default Painting Pressed Board Cabinets in the kitchen of my mobel home

I would like to paint the cabinets in my kitchen, however the laminate is peeling off. What should I do? I just don't want to paint it with the wrong paint.

I'm nervous that you're painting a veneer or some other sort of laminate, but that's not your question: any laminate or veneer is applied using glue... then typcially cured using heat and pressure. I'd suggest getting a small conatginer of contact cement and applying a small amoutn under the areas that are peeling. I'd buy a handful of those 99 cent hand claps at Home Depot (or Lowes) and clamp those re-glued areas overnight. Use a block of wood to transfer the pressure over a wider area if necessary.

When painting the laminate, make sure sure you sand the surface to rough it up so the paint will adhere to something. I's try a small test area, let it dry completely and then test how easy (or hard) it is to sc**** it off with a finger nail, etc... Good luck!
