    Default dog bone in toilet

a small rawhide dogbone was flushed down the toilet. We have used the plunger which has helped but is still in place. Will the bone soften and then flush through...or do we need to pull the toilet off and reset it?

If I were you....... I'd pull the toilet, remove the bone and reset the toilet.

Even if you find a way/tool to push the bone on thru...you'd be asking for trouble. It would then likely lodge somewhere farther down stream where removal won't be nearly as easy as it is now.

Agreed. Rawhide is generally waterproof but if it starts to break down it could swell and cause a major headache.

And it only takes about hr. to do the job and it's done.
