Default Insulating walls of old house

My house was built circa 1750 and was told years ago i could not insulate the walls because there was not enough space for moisture ? Is this still true? MY siding is wood and interior is slat wall. I did find some horsehair in some interior walls. Any advice would be appreciated. I still have original old windows also. I do have insulation laid in attic floor..for whatever that is doing. any ideas?

Insulate it. The blown in ground up newspaper will be easiest and most cost effective. You can even DIY by renting a machine from Home Depot or other rental center.
