Super easy way to drive a new grounding rod
Driving a standard eight foot grounding rod can be a hassle at times, especially the last couple feet. Try this....simply take a 1/2" nut and place it on the ground where you want the rod. Then place the rod into the hole of the nut and then drive it in all together. The nut displaces the ground as you drive it down and it is very easy to drive because the ground isnt causing friction on the rod. When your done just slowly dump a gallon of water on the rod to allow the ground to make contact with the rod again. You wont believe how easy this is.
